8. NALULE SHAMIM RUKIYAH

Shamim is an advocate and Senior Legal Associate atthe firm. She is currently the Head
of the Criminal Department.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) (Hons) from Islamic University in Uganda
and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre
Kampala. She is also a candidate for the award of a Master’s Degree in Management and
Public administration at the Uganda Management Institute, Kampala Uganda.

She started her legal career as a legal volunteer at Uganda Human Right Commission
where she championed legal awareness in the Eastern part of Uganda. She then joined
the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions where she served as state attorney for 5
years from where she left to join us.
